Argentine Wind Energy Association (AAEE) Built Connection with InterLumi Panama and Showed Their Strong Support towards the Show

InterLumi Panama, acting as a trade fair that keeps pace with the trend of efficient lighting, will not only showcase products with state-of-art lighting technologies but also share the concept of energy savings and sustainable development in its second edition, from 29 June to 1 July in 2017. With the expansion of cooperation in environmental-friendly works, InterLumi built connection with Argentine Wind Energy Association (AAEE) in recent months.

Sharing similar goals in sustainability, representatives of InterLumi communicated with AAEE this November and the following interviews presented AAEE’s opinion towards energy efficiency and the cooperation with InterLumi Panama.

1. What is AAEE?

AAEE: AAEE is a non-profit civil association with more than 25 years founded by Prof. Dr. Eng. Erico Spinadel and his team of collaborators. The technical teams of AAEE are currently working with various national and Latin American universities and commercial companies in the region on specific projects of global scope, destined to the promotion and development of renewable energies in developing countries.

2. What’s the importance of renewable energies in today's world? Is there any relation between renewable energies and efficient lighting?

AAEE: The main irrational use of commercial energies including lighting today counts on electric power, and the energy source for its generation is oil and its derivatives in general. The main air pollutant that occurs in these cases is one of the decisive reasons of global warming. Renewable energy, as the ideal substitute, has been applied broadly and taken great effect in preventing global warming.

In terms of efficient lighting, it obtains lower environmental impact as renewable energy does. As the alternative source of electric power, renewable energy (like wind energy and photovoltaic energy) has been applied to supply power in the field of efficient lighting in both commercial and residential cases. It is obvious that both renewable energies and efficient lighting aims to lead less environment pollution.

3. Why support the InterLumi initiative?

AAEE: As the first international lighting & LED trade show in Central American and the Caribbean region, InterLumi Panama acts as a platform to link the region with the rest of the world and this initiative promotes the concept of efficiency actively with the purpose of leading less environmental pollution. AAEE shares same target in this aspect, so that’s the main reason for us to support InterLumi.

4. What would be the benefits of AAEE and InterLumi’s alliance?

AAEE: Considering that, for obvious reasons, we both have interest in environmental care, our complementation in each project would enhance our efforts. Besides, the alliance would also convey a positive image to trans-regional society on the basis of both our professionalism.

5. What benefits will InterLumi bring to the region?

AAEE: We believe that InterLumi will be acknowledged extensively in the near future and it will be of aspiration to the public that our world is habitable for future generations.

With the establishment of this alliance with AAEE, InterLumi Panama aims to broaden the public awareness in Latin American, especially in the commercial, governmental and scientific domains, in order to successfully promote efficient lighting in the region. The founder of the association, Dr. Erico Spinadel, has also been invited as guest speaker of the second Efficient Illumination Forum-Central America, which is being held simultaneously with the InterLumi Panama 2017 Fair.

We believe the cooperation with AAEE would stimulate the diffusion of energy efficiency in Latin America.” said by Mr. Richard Wagner, Director of America Expo Group, organizer of InterLumi Panama. “Both efficient lighting and renewable energy industry are in the expansion period. They are highly relevant to all fields of people’s daily life, and we are happy to take part in to bring changes for the society.”
