National Authority of Public Services (ASEP) Spoke Highly of InterLumi Panama’s Professionalism
As one of the constant supporters of InterLumi Panama, National Authority of Public Services (ASEP) attended the first edition of InterLumi Panama this July. Receiving numerous positive feedback from exhibitors during the fair, ASEP expressed their willingness of continuing advocating InterLumi Panama in 2017. To extend sincere thanks of their help, representatives of America Expo Group visited ASEP this September and conversed with Mr. Luis Chamorro, Director of Communication, and Mr. Ricardo Charles, Chief Officer of Protocol. Praising the professionalism of InterLumi Panama, ASEP shared their opinions on this prominent lighting trade fair in Latin America and the Caribbean region as well as the development of lighting market in Panama.
1. What do you think of InterLumi Panama? What’s your opinion on America Expo Group holding this efficient lighting fair in Panama?
ASEP: InterLumi Panama is an innovative trade show which gives Panama the opportunity to position itself as a leader on the promotion of the Latin-American lighting market, not only for residential, but also for advertisement and external lighting, public lighting and special lighting décor applications on a commercial and domestic level.
We believe that it is a very important milestone for America Expo Group to organize InterLumi in Panama, since it helps promote their brand as prestige trade show organizers with high level of professionalism, in Panama as well as Latin America.
2. How important do you think InterLumi will be to Panama? From your perspective, is there any coherent point between the development of lighting in Panama and InterLumi?
ASEP: We do feel the importance of InterLumi’s presence in Panama because this event promotes the use of LED technology, so the Panamanian people can know more about this world trend, and especially confirms the national government’s campaign on energy saving that is being promoted nationally. We see a coherent development of the lighting industry in the country with InterLumi because with the commercial, touristic, technological and industrial advance our country lives on a daily basis, it is imperative to adjust to changes, especially to those that are environmentally friendly, contribute to the economy and, above all, support sustainability for both, domestic and commercial users.
3. Do you think InterLumi in a useful tool for connecting the local market with the world?
ASEP: Just like the expansion of the Panama Canal nowadays fulfills its mission of international strategic geographical link and connection, we believe that InterLumi is an efficient tool to connect the local market with the rest of the world. An example was to have the pleasure to receive, talk, guide and consult with many entrepreneurs that visited our booth from Canada, Belgium, China, Brazil, Colombia, United States, Peru, and Venezuela during InterLumi Panama 2016.
4. What’s your expectation to InterLumi Panama 2017? What do you expect InterLumi will bring to Panama?
ASEP: As the entity that regulates electricity, especially, public lighting, ASEP expects to be able to guide and advise more companies and investors who visit us during the 2017 edition. We know that through an effective launch on the public media, social networks and with a higher investment on advertisement for the event, you will be able to get more visitors especially during the weekend.
We believe that InterLumi contributes a lot to our country. First, with the introduction of new technologies; second, to our economy with the closing of multiple business contracts and commercial relationships; and third, it contributes to tourism, promoting Panama to the visitors by showcasing our country’s nature, culture, social and historical attributes.
