The 1st Efficient Lighting Forum will be launched at InterLumi Panama 2016

As the first international lighting & LED trade show in LATAM’s Caribbean Market, InterLumi will make its debut from 6 to 8 July, 2016 at ATLAPA Convention Center. Concurrently, the Efficient Lighting Forum - Central America will be held on the first 2 days of the fair.


LED lighting market is predicted to hit a new record with a rise of almost 50% in its market share by 2022. Together with the government policies and investments being scheduled to support the development of LATAM countries, efficient lighting has become a promising market to boost the huge demand in the overall industry.


During InterLumi Panama 2016, the Efficient Lighting Forum is set to facilitate experience sharing and trend prospection. Featuring various aspects of efficient lighting, more than 8 speeches focused on 3 segments, i.e. designs, technologies and regional market factors, will reward the participants with an informative communication & networking platform. Following is the introductory information on the speakers.

Mr. Luis Juan López, is the member of general committee of IES (Illuminating Engineering Society), Mexico Section. He has presented several important international events and conferences such as Light Fair International (LFI), congress of the Professional Lighting Design Convention (PLDC) and Light + Building trade show.

Dr. Abdiel Osvan Pino, is the member of American Optics Society and SPIE (International Society for Optics and Photonics). He used to give speech in 14 professional congresses and he will discuss his ideas on lighting as the base of technology.

Mr. Laurence Vega Porras, is the specialist of providing lighting product selection consulting to clients based on their projects and specific needs. He will give his speech concerned on new trend in lighting on July 6.

Mr. Igor Rodet, is a global leader in innovative luminaire technologies. On July 6, Mr. Rodet will share his opinions on regional factors for luminaire design and construction.

Mr. Wang Jian, deputy representative of China-Panama Trade Development Office, started working in the Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China since 1998. He will communicate with audience the environment for investment and trade in Panama and economic & trade relation between China and Panama.

Ms. Vanessa Orelli, serves as technical and sales manager in a global lighting company. She will give her speech “LED World at Glance” on July 7.

Mr. Víctor Jordá Bordoy, is the architecture student of Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He designs home lighting system and provides consulting to public lighting. His speech “The Lighting Design Applied to Architecture” will be given on July 7.

Mr. Martin Arcos Maldonado, is the expert in lighting needs of public areas (tunnels and tracks), interior spaces, sporting events, industrial spaces and architectural lighting etc. He will talk about the challenge of lighting industry together with the society on July 7.



Held from 13:00 - 16:15 on July 6 – 7 in the onsite meeting room (booth number M01), the forum is free open to all the pre-registered visitors. Conducted with the support of simultaneous interpretation, it will make the visit to InterLumi Panama a more fruitful journey.
